SO, we are no fashion police, but we do have some advice after all trade shows
are our bread and butter. When going to a trade show there are 3 major points our expert trade show exhibitors
know to be true.
1. Comfort is the key to success at shows!
Most importantly comfortable feet. You get so much more from the show when your feet don’t hurt. Our team voted the Dr. Scholl’s
Vixen Leather Ballet Flats as the most preferred shoe on the trade show floor for women
and the Rockport Men’s Eureka Walking Shoe for men.
2. Professional vs. approachable.
Some shows allow a more relaxed attire hence probably, your wardrobe should be a somewhere between a full suit and ripped jeans plus Hawaiian shirt combo.
Furthermore always check out images of the event in past years to grasp a feel for how casual the event can be.
Sure a suit looks sharp, but at a relaxed show, you will look out of place.
3. The NO’s.
First of all, new is not always best. Do not make the rookie mistake of trying to break
in new shoes on the trade show floor. We all want to look our best, but when exhibiting at a show it is more important to be
comfortable. Above all try to coordinate your team’s outfits but avoid matching too much. It’s important for the
team members to be able to show individuality. Don’t forget to wear clothes with pockets. We strongly
advocate against pantyhose (that awful contraption device) heels and elaborate jewelry.
Finally, here are some tips on how to relieve trade show feet if you did choose the wrong shoes.
We think we have covered the bases here, let us know in the comments what your trade show tips are.
